About: ART
Aymeric (b.1986, Australia)
Aymeric Demeautis is a Franco-Australian visual artist and creative director based in Paris. He is known for creating works that are inspired by retro nostalgia and video game culture. Through his art, he enjoys playing with the audience's perceptions and evoking a sense of confusion and curiosity by creating photorealistic artworks that has the audience guessing if what they are seeing is truely real or a digital creation.
He brings a unique perspective to his artistry - drawing on his experience working in advertising to create not only captivating pieces but also immersive experiences - often accompanied by various pieces of unique content that extend beyond the canvas which amplifies the story he wishes to tell.
With a masterful use of symbolism and metaphor, he creates pieces that not only captivate the viewer but also challenge them to explore the deeper layers of meaning within.
Aymeric started his work as a full-time artist in 2020 and is now internationally represented in private collections and galleries in Australia, Europe, and Asia.
